Keith Pine specialises in ocular prosthetics and
maxillofacial prosthetics. He has over 30 years
experience in
New Zealand and the UK and is an
approved provider for HealthPac subsidies and registered
with ACC.
Throughout his career, Keith has combined facial
prosthetics,
clinical dental technology and healthcare management.
He is a firm believer in a team approach
to healthcare and maintains a high personal
commitment to quality and service.

Career Highlights

1975 Built an anatomical replica of the human skull for training surgeons and nurses.
1977 Invented a flexible locking system to fixate jaws following maxillofacial surgery.
1978 Invented first moving eyelid orbital prosthesis.
1978 Founded Keith Pine & Associates Dental Laboratory.
1980 Created metamorphosising monsters for South Pacific Television's TV series Under the Mountain.
1987 Helped restore the 1905, 45 foot, Auckland Harbour Board pilot launch Ferro.
1988 Took over Geddes Dental Renovations (3 employees). Employed 110 staff when sold in 2003 .
1997 Pioneered mobile dental services to secondary schools - now over 35,000 adolescents per
annum are treated in mobile clinics in Auckland.
1998 Set up (in conjunction with the Central Institute of Technology) NZ's first part time post-graduate programme for experienced dental technicians to qualify as Clinical Dental Technicians (CDTs).
Forty six technicians became registered CDTs through this programme.
2000 President, Takapuna Rotary Club.
2000 Chairman, NZ Dental Technicians Board.
2001 Sponsored the restoration of New Zealand's oldest surviving yacht, Jessie Logan 1880.
2003 Sold Geddes Dental Group - Australasia's largest private dental practice.
Now known as Lumino Dental.
2004 Member, Dental Council of NZ.
2006 Founding Director and CEO, Go Virtual Medical Ltd - now known as SIMTICS.
2008 Full time ocular prosthetics practice.
