Attention artificial eye wearers.

YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH PROJECT THAT IS BEING RUN UNDER SUPERVISION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND'S DEPARTMENT OF OPTOMETRY AND VISION SCIENCE.

The study is part of the PhD project of Keith Pine who is the ocular prosthetist with the New Zealand Artificial Eye Service. The study has Ethics approval from the Health and Disability Multi-region Ethics Committee and is entitled “Factors Affecting Artificial Eye Wear”.

Keith is inviting all wearers of artificial eyes throughout New Zealand to participate -
although nobody should feel obliged to help and the study is completely voluntary.

There are 2 levels of participation:

* Completing a questionnaire about your experience wearing an artificial eye.
* Completing the questionnaire and volunteering to take part in the rest of the study.

If you are interested in helping, please e-mail Keith Pine direct at keith.pine@kp-assoc.co.nz
or telephone him on (09)489 3375 for more information.
